RATIO UTILITY BILLING (RUBs)
At times, constraints to sub-metering a property may arise, such as limited space or the initial cost of the installation. iBE offers metering solutions for these constraints through RUBs (Ratio Utility Billing Systems). RUBs allow the allocation of a master utility bill to your customers based on a formula of factors including, but not limited to, unit square footage or number of occupants. RUBs is an industry term used to describe allocating a bill in circumstances where the individual tenants do not have a specific meter to track their portion of usage.
Our state of the art software can easily determine a ratio percentage of each monthly municipal bill that each unit should pay based on a formula of your preference. The most common ways of allocating bills to un-metered residents is by square footage, number of occupants, number of bedrooms, or using a flat rate.
